Hey all…
Sorry for the late notice on this but we’ve got two CMJ shows this week – in two drastically different forms with very different setlists as we await the recovery of our drummer Ezra from an arm injury (which he’s doing steadily). We wish him well!
Our first show is Thursday 10/23 at the new 92Y space in Tribeca with Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Louvin. Needless to say, we’re beyond honored to open up for him. We’ll be doing the show sans drummer, campfire-style with a bevy of friends helping us out on things like harmonium, singing saw, wurlitzer, shakers, and vox. We’ll be playing songs we don’t play often – both very old and new. We’re on at 10:00 sharp – and Mr. Louvin follows. Tall Pines and Justin Townes Earle are also on the bill. Please note that this is the TRIBECA branch (at 200 Hudson St.) of 92Y and not the original, uptown location.
The second show is the Merge Showcase at the Mercury Lounge on Sat 10/25. We’ll be joined by drum ace (and MEKON!) Steve Goulding and our good friend Claudia Mogel too. The set will be of the louder, more Oakley Hall variety. Very excited to see all our friends on the roster and at the label.
And hope our paths cross at one or both of these shows…
